Geringere Strahlenbelastung mit VICTREX® PEEK™ im Röntgenstrahler
Die Firma Instrumentarium Imaging Ziehm GmbH mit Sitz in Nürnberg entwickelt, produziert und vertreibt nunmehr seit 30 Jahren erfolgreich mobile Röntgengeräte. Mit ihrem Ziehm 8000 und Ziehm Vista ist es gelungen, ein leistungsstarkes Paket von der intraoperativen Durchleuchtung bis hin zu gefässchirurgischen Untersuchungen und Interventionen, gekoppelt mit dem neuartigen Verfahren der 3 dimensionalen Bildgebung (TACT®), zu entwickeln. Dieses Bildgebungsverfahren setzt keine völlige Ruhe des Patienten voraus, so dass eine Wiederholung „alter“ oder unbrauchbarer Aufnahmen überflüssig und dadurch die Strahlenbelastung des Patienten reduziert wird. Die strahlenfreie virtuelle Einblendung des Bildausschnitts mit einer hochpräzisen verstellbaren Blende, die durch Zahnräder aus PEEK™ Polymer justiert wird, minimiert die auftretenden Strahlenbelastung noch weiter.

Signed and sealed: Craig Oliver(L), Northern European marketing manager of DuPont, and Gerry Moore(R), managing director for Distrupol UK, confirm the contractual arrangements of Distrupol’s exclusive distribution agreement with DuPont Engineering Polymers. Under the terms of the agreement, Distrupol UK is now the sole distributor for DuPont’s engineering plastics, including Crastin® PBT and Rynite® PET thermoplastic polyester resins, Delrin® acetal resins, Zytel® nylon resins, Minlon® mineral reinforced nylons and Hytrel® thermoplastic polyester elastomers. Distrupol is also distributor for DuPont’s Packaging and Industrial Products, Elvax® EVA compounds, Elvaloy® acrylate copolymers and Fusabond® polymer modifiers. The exclusive agreement was originally announced on 15 October 2002.
