TE Connectivity to show extensive ENTRELEC range of terminal blocks at SIFER 2019
DARMSTADT, Germany – February 27, 2019 – TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, will demonstrate the broad scope of its ENTRELEC range of terminal blocks at SIFER 2019, the 11th International Exhibition of Railway Technology, taking place in Lille from 26 to 28 March. TE is on Stand 220 in Hall 3.
TE acquired the ENTRELEC terminal block business from ABB last year, gaining 70 years of experience in the development of these products, designed and manufactured in France. Products are particularly suited to railway applications, showing resistance to high vibrations, impacts and corrosion, and delivering solutions for rolling stock and infrastructure that fully comply with the most recent and most demanding international railway standards.
The ENTRELEC range, one of the largest on the market (there are more than 8,000 products), comprises several innovative connection technologies, including Push-In & Spring, Pluggable (with a modular design of pre-wired plug harnesses) and IDC, as well as other more traditional systems.
The SNK pluggable series, available in PI-Spring and Screw clamp technologies, makes it easier than ever to prepare and test connections as well as to transport bulky equipment. The pluggable function makes it possible to build custom pre-wired plug harnesses, pre-test them prior to installation, or quickly disconnect and reconnect them without errors, before and after transport.
The SNK PI-Spring series, which combines the benefits of push-in and spring technologies, brings advantages when there are many terminal blocks to connect, helping users strike a balance between connections with and without tooling to limit operator efforts and reduce fatigue.
The IDC series is based on self-stripping technology, which can cut connection times by up to 80 percent compared to traditional technologies while still providing a reliable and safe connection.
TE also offers a turnkey service for clients that includes custom design and manufacture of pre-assembled terminal blocks with personalized packaging options. Visitors to the company’s stand will be able to see the Easy Rail Designer-3D software solution, which enables intuitive terminal block design.
SIFER is France's only B2B international exhibition for the railway industry exhibition, bringing together suppliers and manufacturers of the very latest in railway technology, products and services. The biennial show brings together manufacturers and suppliers from several sectors, including rolling stock, infrastructure, fare collection technology and products, passenger information, signalling and train control systems and equipment. The French rail supply industry is Europe's second biggest, generating a turnover in excess of €4 billion. Lille is the country’s leading rail industry region.
