New Potting Junction Box from TE Connectivity Handles Increased Power Outputs from Solar Panels
HARRISBURG, PA., USA – January 26, 2017 – TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, now offers the SOLARLOK PV Bar, a new potting junction box for solar crystalline panels. Designed with improved robustness and reliability for handling increased power output, it is TUV and UL approved for voltages of up to 1500 V and has been engineered to maximize lifetime with three times the IEC standard aging tests.
The four precisely shaped contact rails are arranged in an extended 3D layout to optimize thermal balance. To provide the lowest contact resistance possible, the contact rails are manufactured with almost pure copper enabling longer life and higher power output. Maximum lifetime is further ensured by the use of welded connections inside the SOLARLOK PV Bar junction box.
