Syensqo strengthens partnership with Avio through new long-term space materials agreement

Syensqo to continue supplying high-performance composite and adhesive solutions for Vega-C launch systems and low earth orbit missions

Brussels, April 28, 2026 - Syensqo has signed a new long-term supply agreement with Avio, reinforcing a long-standing collaboration in support of advanced space launch systems.

Building on decades of aerospace heritage, Syensqo will supply ablative materials, RTM resins and adhesive materials for demanding space applications. These solutions will support Avio's launch vehicle programs, including Vega-C, Europe's multi-mission launch vehicle capable of delivering payloads to a variety of orbital destinations, and contribute to reliable mission performance.

Engineered to withstand extreme thermal and mechanical stresses, Syensqo’s materials are used in critical components such as rocket motor nozzles, exit cones and structural elements, where durability and performance are essential.

“We are proud to extend our collaboration with Avio and continue supporting critical space programs,” said Rodrigo Elizondo, President of Syensqo Composite Materials. “As momentum builds in the global space sector, our advanced materials help enable reliable and efficient launch systems for a wide range of missions.”

“Syensqo has been a trusted partner for many years, providing high-performance materials that meet the stringent requirements of our launch systems,” said Salvatore Mazzarella, Procurement and Supply Chain Director at Avio. “This agreement strengthens our collaboration as we continue to advance reliable and efficient launch solutions for our customers.”

With a long heritage in aerospace innovation, Syensqo continues to support critical space missions through advanced material technologies. From early space programs to today’s next-generation launch systems, its solutions contribute to safer, more reliable and more efficient access to space.
