SONGWON introduces first RSPO-certified product - SONGNOX® 1076 antioxidant
Ulsan, South Korea – July 14, 2026 – Songwon Industrial Co., Ltd., a global leader in specialty chemicals and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of polymer stabilizers, is pleased to announce that it has received a Certificate (MB Grade) from the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) for its SONGNOX® 1076 phenolic antioxidant.
Issued in January 2026, the RSPO authorization document enables SONGWON to offer SONGNOX® 1076 antioxidant as an RSPO-certified product option to customers. Trial quantities are expected from April 2026, with a market launch planned for the second half of the year. Looking ahead, SONGWON sees potential to expand its portfolio with additional RSPO-compliant products.
With the launch of its first product meeting RSPO requirements, SONGWON positions itself as an early mover in providing RSPO solutions for the polymer additives market. SONGNOX® 1076 already features one of the lowest carbon footprints in its class and the availability of this RSPO-certified option represents an important further step toward more sustainable sourcing. For customers, it represents a tangible contribution to avoiding deforestation, progress toward more sustainable sourcing and helps to meet upcoming regulatory requirements, including future EU deforestation regulations.
