Rhodia Industrial Yarns Announces Price Increases for Polyamide 6 and 6.6 Yarns
Emmenbrücke, Switzerland, Sept 15th, 2004 – The European headquarters of Rhodia Industrial Yarns today announced price increases of € 600/m.t for PA6 yarns and € 350/m.t for PA6.6 yarns effective October 1st 2004. The polyamide yarns affected are especially used in Tires reinforcement, Mechanical Rubber Goods, Ropes & Nets, Weaving and Airbag applications.
These price increases are in response to the sustained rising cost of energy (crude oil) and raw materials (benzene) and to the significant erosion of margins at a time when the global polyamide demand is strengthening worldwide.
Rhodia Industrial Yarns serves the global automotive, transportation, sport & leisure goods and other industrial markets.
