Demag Ergotech joins Omnexus Emarketplace
Omnexus bolsters equipment procurement presence
ATLANTA (June 26, 2001) – Demag Ergotech, a leading European manufacturer of injection moulding machines, has joined Omnexus (www.omnexus.com), the global plastics eMarketplace, as a strategic supplier. Demag Ergotech is the second of the world’s top five injection moulding machine manufacturers to join the Omnexus site, clearly reinforcing Omnexus’ expansion beyond resins to create a single point of connectivity for the global plastics industry. The Omnexus site’s rapidly growing supplier base includes more than 20 major resin manufacturers, equipment manufacturers, distributors, and other suppliers.

Demag Ergotech’s “Ergotech” brand injection moulding machines will be available on the Omnexus site’s machinery section when it launches this summer.

The Omnexus-Demag agreement is part of the company’s ongoing strategy of expanding its supplier base to create a single, neutral eMarketplace for the global plastics industry. Omnexus will announce additional strategic suppliers in the coming weeks.
