Omnexus shares insights on the challenge of redefining ebusiness with industry leaders at key European e-conferences(in English)

Omnexus, the neutral global eMarketplace for the plastics industry that provides a single point of connectivity for processors and suppliers, will be sharing insights of its unique business model, state-of-the-art technology, and unique value proposition to the global plastics industry supply chain with key industry audiences this month at two of Europe’s leading plastics and chemicals e-commerce conferences.

René Müller, Omnexus vice president, Commercial Europe and Asia, will be presenting an overview of the creation of a global “one-stop shop for plastics moulders” at E-Plastics Europe, Munich, 11-12 June and EyeforChem Europe, 13-15 June, Amsterdam. Müller will focus on the Omnexus experience of successfully overcoming the challenges involved in implementing an eMarketplace founded on multi-company sponsorship and a commercial platform comprising a complex, multi-tiered supply chain.

“We believe that conference delegates can take away a deep understanding of the complexities that global supply chains face and the innovative ways that Omnexus has used technology to drive costs out of the supply chain, while maintaining and enhancing existing buyer/supplier relationships and working within established business processes,” stated Mueller.

Omnexus is a global, neutral eMarketplace founded and supported by the plastics industry and focused on delivering products and related services to plastics industry professionals.

Omnexus comprises a growing body of more than 20 global suppliers including: Atofina, Basf AG, Bayer AG, Biesterfeld, Clariant, Dow Chemical, Distrupol, DSM, DuPont, Engel, PolyOne, Resinex & Ravago, Solvay and Ticona.

“Omnexus is both driven and shaped by market demand,” says Müller. “Its complete independence, while being supported by more than 20 of the world’s leading resin suppliers, allows it to continuously evolve in line with the expressed needs of each of its user groups. That makes Omnexus an ideal industry partner and, at the same time, brings a higher level of value to the concept of business partnership.”

René Müller will also be an active participant in panel discussions on Europe’s new generation of plastics e-marketplaces at E-Plastics Europe in Munich.
