MachinePoint Launches Expanded Online Resources and Services
Valladolid, Spain –June 2002 – MachinePoint is proud to announce the recent launch of a new website. The new portal features a redesigned interface and enhanced functions never before offered in the industry. The update is part of a recent technical platform implementation, utilizing a new intranet that will allow associates better management of their machinery catalogues and transactions.
The updated website, recently launched on June 1, offers users the best machinery search tools and sales experience on the Internet. Among its improved features, users will find:
• New Advance Search: The enhanced search capabilities of the system allows a broader and better search by combining different parameters such as: machinery type, manufacturer, brand, location, operativity, year, price, attributes, etc.
MachinePoint.com users will have easy access to the machinery they are looking for, without having to browse through the entire machinery listing.
• Special Offers Time and price sensitive promotions of selected machinery will be made available to MachinePoint users offering the best deals available on the web.
• Latest Entries. This new feature allows users to quickly access the latest machinery entries in our system. In addition, users can also subscribe to a machinery alerts service and receive machinery updates directly in their mailbox.
• Personal Machine Mailing. Users will soon be able to subscribe to two different machinery alerts: “Latest Entries” to receive new entries in our database according to given specifications: machine type, brands, models, year, price, etc., based on user-defined frequency.
“Machinery Wanted” alerts. Delivers updated information on specific machinery specified by users, and not available through our catalogue. This feature will allow users to offer surplus machinery for sale knowing there is a buyer waiting for that particular item.
• Ask the Expert. A free service where questions regarding plastics and rubber equipment will be answered in confidence by a MachinePoint Expert.
• Let us Find it. If a user cannot find the machine they seek in MachinePoint’s catalogue, they may complete an online form, and MachinePoint will conduct a search for the specified machine based on user defined criteria.
• Sell your Machine.Users can offer surplus machinery around the clock. MachinePoint will market that specialized machinery through numerous niche channels worldwide. MachinePoint manages a proprietary database with more than 65,000 plastics and rubber processors to find ready-to-buy clients.
