Product Lines
The LNP portfolio contains seven product lines, each defined by a specific primary effect. Frequently two, three, or more effects are combined in an LNP custom-compounded product.
Colorcomp® – Colorcomp pre-colored, unfilled resins are designed for the OEM or molder with lot releases of 110 to 20,000 pounds and offer critical color accuracy and short lead times. Trademark resins from other major suppliers are available, including Solvay’s Radel® resin and Victrex’s PEEK resin; as well as a full line of special effects resins, including GE Plastics’ VisualFx® resins. LNP’s state-of-the-art color lab supports customers through each phase of the development process.
Konduit® – Composites of thermally conductive fillers and engineering thermoplastics, Konduit compounds have ten to 50 times more thermal conductivity than traditional unfilled resins. These innovative materials can be formulated to be either electrically insulative or conductive, and have CLTEs similar to many metals. These materials represent a viable avenue for heat transfer, reducing thermal rise and increasing efficiency in coil wound systems.
Lubricomp® – Lubricomp internally lubricated compounds offer inherent lubrication through the addition of PTFE, silicone, aramid fiber, or other materials to engineering thermoplastics. Lubriloy®, a family of proprietary lubricated alloys, offers properties approaching PTFE-lubricated materials at reduced cost. When combined with other additives and reinforcements, a virtually unlimited choice of compounds can be created that provide reduced coefficient of friction, low wear, enhanced mechanical and thermal properties, excellent dimensional stability, and more.
Starflam® – Starflam flame retardant compounds provide flame retardancy ratings from a range of UL94 5V to glowwire 850°C, and are available in a wide variety of base polymers. In response to market demands for environmentally safe products, Starflam compounds can be formulated to be halogen- and red phosphorous-free.
Stat-Kon® – Stat-Kon electrically active compounds provide economical and reliable solutions against electrostatic buildup. The line also includes Stat-Loy® compounds that are colorable, and contain permanent anti-static additives that are non-humidity dependent and non-migratory; and EMI-X® and Faradex® compounds offering EMI/RFI shielding and ESD protection, eliminating the need for special coatings or
