DÜSSELDORF, October 25, 2001 – Fabri-Moulds is a UK-based division of ICO Incorporated (NASDAQ: ICOC), which was founded in 1970 as a small oilfield services company. Today, it is a leading provider of specialised processing and distribution services to the petrochemical industry worldwide, with facilities in North America, Europe and Australasia. Fabri-Moulds has specialised in the design and manufacture of rotational moulds for over 20 years.

Fabri-Moulds' in-depth knowledge of the rotational moulding industry enables it to manufacture sheet steel tooling of exceptionally high quality. It can manufacture moulds from aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel, although its preferred material is 2mm gauge mild steel.

The basis of a good rotational mould is sound design. This requires a thorough understanding, not only of the rotational moulding process, but also of the way in which polymers behave during the moulding process. Fabri-Moulds actively advises moulders on the essential elements of mould design, and can offer clients a large degree of assistance in the design of their moulds.

When it comes to making the moulds themselves, all Fabri-Moulds' long experience comes into play to ensure the highest quality and thus a long and reliable operational life for the mould. The scribing, cutting, folding and tack welding on the sheet metal master are carried out to the finest tolerances. The final TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welds are carefully executed to avoid distortion and all the weld lines and internal surfaces of the mould are polished to give a consistent, smooth surface. Fabri-Moulds makes its own MR (mould release) clamps, which are famously rugged and easy to use.

As well as manufacturing new moulds, Fabri-Moulds will also repair and refurbish moulds that are worn or damaged. These moulds receive the same degree of effort and painstaking attention to detail.
