Agent and Distribution Agreement
Harvest Polymers and Rifra Masterbatches SpA have announced an Agreement for the marketing of Rifra’s Masterbatches in the UK and Ireland. The products include Rifrachem additive Masterbatch, Rifratene colour Masterbatch and Rifracomplex a multi blend Masterbatch containing several active components.
Rifra is one of Italy’s largest Masterbatch companies and has been in active production since 1978. The facility today based in Molinetto di Mazzano is very modern and has established an outstanding reputation for service performance and innovation in its home market in Italy and other regions in mainland Europe. Rifra gained ISO 9002 certification in 1994
When Rifra began to consider a partner for the UK market they were seeking accompany with experience in added value products and specialities so Harvest Polymers became an easy choice-given their contact with a broad portfolio of UK processors and previous management experience in the Masterbatch field.
The Rifra inspiring range contains a very large portfolio of additive masterbatches marketed under the Rifrachem brand. In addition to the standard performance enhancing grades and process aids, there is a selection of flame retardant masterbatches to suit virtually every polymer and process, including film. Flammability performance meets UL 94 ratings.
The Rifratene colour masterbatch range is both polymer and process specific, and large range of standards is available for the film industry, in addition to speciality high performance black and white grade. One of Rifra’s strengths that fits well with Harvest Polymers is their specialisation in colour masterbatches for engineering thermoplastics (ETP) and thermoplastic elastomers (TPE).
Finally Rifracomplex provides a highly economical means where several additives are required in the final product. Rifracomplex is also available as colour range.
At Interplas Rifra will launch anew product Rifrachem FL2 and FL4, which are designed to increase output rate and reduce clean down problems in large, scale extrusion set-ups. The product based on fluoro chemistry has been successfully used in blown film extrusion and pipe extrusion. Further details will be available at Interplas on the Harvest Polymers stand 3240A
