  • Highlights at in-cosmetics Asia are Aristoflex SUN rheology modifier, Plantasens Emulsifier HP49, Lucas Meyer Cosmetics' GlowCytocin and Melicica active ingredients, and Siligel SF eco-conscious gelling agent

SINGAPORE, November 4, 2025 - At in-cosmetics Asia 2025 Clariant together with Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant is presenting its latest highlights for the personal care industry at in-cosmetics Asia 2025 (booth W50, hall 103). In the spotlight are three new formulation concepts that address evolving consumer demands while highlighting its commitment to the Asian market with the opening of a new production facility in China.

Clariant's formulation concepts respond directly to the growing consumer preference for products that combine efficacy with sensorial experiences. The "Relaxed Elegance" concept features mild surfactants that deliver exceptional cleansing while providing luxurious sensory experience. "PuriSafe" offers safe preservation solutions that meet stringent regulatory requirements without compromising product integrity. The "SunSense" concept introduces innovations in sun protection that enhance both performance and user experience.

"Today's consumers are increasingly seeking personal care products that deliver multiple benefits simultaneously," explains Catherine Breffa, Head of Marketing Personal & Home Care at Clariant. "Our formulation concepts demonstrate how brands can meet these expectations through innovative ingredient combinations that enhance product performance while delivering exceptional sensory experiences."

Among Clariant's highlighted innovations is Aristoflex SUN, a rheology modifier that can boost Sun Protection Factor (SPF) values for optimized sun protection compared to control without Aristoflex SUN while improving texture and stability in sun care formulations. Clariant is also featuring Plantasens Emulsifier HP49, an emulsifier with a 99% Renewable Carbon Index that offer superior stability in formulations even with high concentration of oil, and Nipaguard SCE H, a halal-certified broad spectrum preservatives that offer gentle yet effective protection while reducing the needs of conventional systems.

Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant is showcasing its latest active ingredients, including GlowCytocin, which represents a groundbreaking innovation as the first active to target oxytocin receptors promoting skin radiance and emotional well-being, and Melicica, which delivers exceptional skin repair benefits, improving the appearance of scars and damaged skin across age groups and skin tones. Furthermore Siligel SF, an eco-conscious gelling agent is introduced, that delivers a distinctive silky-soft sensorial experience. Obtained from Non-GMO lecithin and polysaccharides from biotechnological fermentation processes, Siligel SF is a readily biodegradable, vegan-certified and silica-free solution with a 100% natural origin content.

"At Lucas Meyer Cosmetics, we develop active ingredients and functional solutions that address both the physiological and emotional aspects of skincare," says Isabelle Lacasse, Head of Global Marketing, Product Line Management & Formulation at Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant. "Our ingredients like GlowCytocin and Melicica are designed to create meaningful connections between products and consumers, while our Siligel SF offers formulators an eco-conscious solution for creating exceptional textures."

In a significant development for its regional operations, Clariant will officially open its new Care Chemicals facility in Daya Bay, Huizhou, China on November 5, 2025. The CHF 80 million investment will increase production capabilities for personal care, pharmaceutical, home care, and industrial applications, reinforcing Clariant's commitment to the Asian market.

The new facility represents a strategic expansion of Clariant's manufacturing footprint in China and will enable the company to better serve regional customers with locally produced ingredients. This investment underscores Clariant's long-term commitment to the region and its confidence in the continued growth of the Asian personal care market.

Visitors to in-cosmetics Asia 2025 are invited to explore Clariant's and Lucas Meyer Cosmetics' innovative formulations and learn more about how these solutions can help brands create distinctive, high-performance products that meet evolving consumer expectations.
