Clariant inicia construção de planta de etanol celulósico sunliquid™ na Romênia
São Paulo, 26 de setembro de 2018 – A Clariant, uma das empresas líderes mundiais em especialidades químicas, iniciou oficialmente a construção da primeira planta comercial sunliquid para a produção em grande escala de etanol celulósico feito a partir de resíduos agrícolas. Nesta moderna fábrica, a tecnologia sunliquid desenvolvida pela companhia será usada em escala industrial pela primeira vez. Para marcar a ocasião, foi realizada uma tradicional cerimônia de início de obras em Podari, próximo a Craiova, na região sudoeste da Romênia, com a participação de representantes oficiais do governo romeno, o embaixador suíço Urs Herren e uma comitiva da Clariant liderada pelo membro do Comitê Executivo, Christian Kohlpaintner.

Clariant confirms SABIC to complete purchase of 24.99% stake in Clariant after receiving all regulatory approvals
Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today announced that SABIC has received the final outstanding regulatory approvals from the competition authorities for the purchase of a 24.99% stake in Clariant. Therefore, an unconditional closing of the purchase will take place in the next days which makes SABIC Clariant’s largest strategic anchor shareholder, and second anchor shareholder beside the group of former shareholders of Süd-Chemie.

Clariant to exhibit desiccant solutions that protect furniture from moisture damage during transport at FMC 2018

Clariant and Save the Children partner to stop the spread of malaria in Myanmar
Clariant, a world-leader in specialty chemicals and Save the Children, one of the the world’s largest independent children's rights organisations, today announced a partnership to help stem the spread of malaria in Myanmar. The Clariant Foundation has pledged CHF 150,000 for Malaria Prevention and Control and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Save the Children to form a working team to study, design and implement a range of health and education programmes in Myanmar.

Clariant Q1, 2018 Profit grows to Rs.15.30 crores
Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited, India's leading specialty chemicals producer, reported sales of Rs. 264 crore, for the quarter ended June 30, 2018, as against Rs. 258 crore, on a comparable basis for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The PBITDA for the quarter ended June 30, 2018, stood at Rs. 24.81 crore, as compared to Rs. 7.20 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Clariant reports strong progress in the first half of 2018
Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today announced first half 2018 sales of CHF 3.389 billion compared to CHF 3.132 billion in the first half of 2017. This corresponds to 7 % growth in local currency and 8 % in Swiss francs. Sales growth was supported by organic growth contributions from all Business Areas, in particular Catalysis and Care Chemicals.
