Clariant organiza aula concerto com o maestro João Carlos Martins em Suzano
São Paulo, 3 de novembro de 2014 – A Clariant, uma das líderes mundiais em especialidades químicas, organizará no dia 06 de novembro de 2014, às 11h, uma aula concerto com o maestro João Carlos Martins, na EE Jussara F. Domschke. Esta iniciativa complementa as atividades do projeto “A Música Venceu”, realizado na escola pela Fundação Bachiana, com o patrocínio da Clariant. O evento também contará com a apresentação dos alunos, tanto dos instrumentos de corda, quanto do coral e percussão.

Clariant achieves 8 % sales growth in a softening economic environment
"In the first nine months Clariant's well-balanced, growth-oriented portfolio achieved above-market growth in a softening global economic environment," said CEO Hariolf Kottmann. "Volumes were strong and prices firm despite uneven developments in industries, end-markets and regions. While we expect those challenges to persist in the fourth quarter, we are confident of reaching our targets for 2014, including substantial cash flow generation in the remainder of the year."

Clariant divests its Energy Storage Business to Johnson Matthey
Muttenz, October 29, 2014 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, has agreed to divest its Business Line Energy Storage to Johnson Matthey Plc. The total consideration of the sale amounts to USD 75 million at closing which is expected early 2015.

US EPA: Clariant Exolit® OP 560 flame retardant superior for furniture upholstery
Charlotte, October 22, 2014 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, has announced that its Exolit OP® 560 Flame Retardant has been designated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) as a safer, more environmentally friendly flame retardant for polyurethane (PUR) foam used in furniture upholstery and other consumer products than the traditional formulation, pentabromo diphenylether (pentaBDE).
