Clariant included in Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Muttenz, September 11, 2014 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today was once again included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), one of the most renowned sustainability indices globally. The listing names Clariant within the European DJSI (DJSI Europe), once again, as well as in the global DJSI (DJSI World). In doing so, analysts at RobecoSAM have confirmed that when it comes to sustainability, Clariant is among the top 10 percent of leading companies worldwide in the chemical industry. Clariant to offer certified sustainable palm-based materials
Muttenz, August 21, 2014 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, announced Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) Mass Balance supply chain certification for its plant in Gendorf, Germany, in order to meet the increasing demand for sustainable certified palm-based ingredients from customers in the personal care and home care sectors. Gendorf is the first of Clariant's plants to be RSPO certified and progresses its target to continuously increase the offer of certified palm based products and to have all relevant production sites certified by 2016.

Clariant confirms outlook on solid Q2 results
"The first half-year 2014 was characterized by a more favorable but still volatile and challenging business environment compared to the previous year," said CEO Hariolf Kottmann. "Under these conditions, Clariant achieved good volume growth in both the first and the second quarter, supported by solid pricing. With unfavorable currency developments expected to soften, the strength of our portfolio makes us cautiously optimistic going into the second half of the year."

CB&I and Clariant’s Polypropylene Catalyst Partnership off to a Successful Start
Muttenz, July 22, 2014 - CB&I (NYSE:CBI) and Clariant announced today its new Ziegler-Natta (ZN) polypropylene catalyst production plant in Louisville, Kentucky, is on schedule to begin production in 2015. The plant is part of a long-term strategic partnership between Clariant’s Catalysts business unit and CB&I's Lummus Novolen Technology business. Based at Clariant's largest US production hub, the state-of-the-art facility will combine innovative catalysts - jointly developed by both companies with high-capacity output to serve the fast growing polypropylene industry.
