Clariant Oil Services Invests in Industry-Leading Laboratory Facility
Houston, May 2, 2013 - Clariant Oil Services announced today that it's investment in a new laboratory facility is on track for completion in Q3 2013. The facility will be in the new Clariant Oil and Mining Services global headquarters campus, located in The Woodlands, Texas.

Clariant and SK Capital report on progress of the Textile, Paper and Emulsions activities divestment
Muttenz/New York, 30 April 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in Specialty Chemicals, and SK Capital, a private investment firm with a disciplined focus on the specialty materials, chemicals and healthcare sectors, provided an update on the separation process of Textile Chemicals, Paper Specialties and Emulsions. Clariant announced that it agreed to sell the three businesses to SK Capital on 27 December 2012.

Clariant invests for Asian pigments customers
Muttenz, April 23, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, will build a new pigment preparations plant in Indonesia in a series of investments to strengthen on-the-ground support for customers in China, India and Indonesia. The announcement marks another step in Clariant’s significant commitment to support customers in the emerging markets with high quality low VOC pigment preparations complying with eco labeling schemes such as blue angel and equivalent schemes in other regions. The company is investing approximately CHF 8 Million to enhance its capabilities in the region.

Tests show Clariant adjuvant boosts speed of foliar penetration by up to 500%
Muttenz, April 17, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, is to present test results showing that its Synergen® OS adjuvant boosts the foliar penetration (after 24 hours) of a broad-leafed herbicide by 5 times compared to the commercial standard. The findings will be presented at the 10th International Symposium on Adjuvants for Agrochemicals (ISAA), to be held in Brazil on 22-26 April 2013.

Clariant Oil Services to Acquire Champion Technologies' Deep Water Gulf of Mexico Assets
Muttenz, April 15, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in Specialty Chemicals, has announced today that it signed an agreement with Ecolab Inc. to acquire certain of its deep water Gulf of Mexico assets. The divestment of the assets by Ecolab was a prerequisite by the U.S. Department of Justice for the approval of the acquisition of Champion Technologies. Financial details of the acquisition are not being disclosed.
