Borealis appoints new sales agent to target the North American automotive market
• Customers benefit with improved service through local sales, marketing and technical support

Borealis, a leading provider of innovative, value creating plastics solutions, announces the appointment of Polymer Z as its official sales agent for the North American automotive market. This development reflects Borealis’ commitment to becoming a leading player in advanced plastics solutions for the automotive market in North America.
Polymer Z, formed in 2004 and based in the United States, is responsible for market development and sales of Borealis’ innovative automotive products in North America as well as for providing local customers with high-quality technical service, sales and marketing support. The company will develop new applications utilizing key Borealis innovative solutions for body panels, scratch-resistant materials, moulded in colour (MIC), exterior solutions (Daplen™ EF341AE being used in the world’s first fully integrated fender module in the BMW X5 and BMW X6 series) and advanced polypropylene glass fibre composites for stressed car components.

Daplen™ EF341AE used in the world’s first fully integrated fender module. The material, a thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) is able to meet BMW specification for the BMW X5 and X6 series and enables up to 50% weight reduction in the fender. The compound also adheres to safety requirements of EuroNCAP 2010.
