A Showcase for the UK Industry

'Every UK company registered on the BPF-Online Directory will have a marketing platform at Interplas 2002' announced the BPF this week. Over 1800 companies have entered their details onto its product sourcing Directory since its launch in mid 2001. Visitors to the BPF stand at the show will be able to access this information, which covers materials, machinery, equipment, products and services, with assistance from BPF staff who will be on hand to help people understand the real benefits of the website as well as meeting their sourcing needs.

'The BPF is encouraging companies who are not already present in the Directory to enter their details prior to the show and maximise their exposure at this important event in the 2002 world plastics calendar.' Urged BPF Business Services Manager Iain Mcllwee. 'Visitors to the show will include a large cross section of specifiers whose sourcing needs can be met through the use of BPF-Online.'

The BPF presence at Interplas underpins its ongoing mission to promote UK plastics companies and raise awareness of the competence of the industry in serving world markets. The stand, located in Hall 3 (no 3140), will be a focal point for information about the role of the UK plastics industry and individual companies within it. In addition expert staff will be able to answer questions about plastics in general as well as its uses and applications.

The BPF is a major sponsor of Interplas and keen to support the overall theme of 'Innovation'. Visitors to the BPF stand will be able to use the educational tools available on BPF-Online. Animations of various processes enables people to actually see how a process works - a feature which has been of great use to designers and specifiers, and to universities in training our industry of tomorrow.

BPF staff at the show will also use the opportunity to maintain the rapid growth in membership - 31 new members so far in 2002 - by talking to British companies who may benefit greatly from joining the premier trade association in the UK plastics industry.

"A strong Interplas is in the interests of every company in the UK plastics industry. It is the showcase of what we can do in the UK and what we can offer the world. Every company should be thinking about how it can use Interplas to its own marketing advantage. The BPF's presence at the show will be a prominent platform for its members and supporters." concluded Philip Law, BPF's Director of Public and Industrial Affairs.
