Attachmate myEXTRA! Presentation Services Delivers 6530 Emulation for Tandem Host Connectivity

Oct. 8, 2002 -- Attachmate Corporation, a leader in enterprise presentation and application integration products and services, today announced the availability of 6530 emulation for Tandem^® host connectivity. myEXTRA!™ Enterprise, a component of myEXTRA! Presentation Services, provides feature-rich PC-to-host emulation services for delivering enterprise applications from IBM^® mainframe, AS/400^® and UNIX^®/VM™ information systems to Windows^® desktops. myEXTRA! Presentation Services 6530 Client Option v7.0 further extends multi-host connectivity to incorporate Tandem system access.

The 6530 Client Option possesses automation and customization features such as customizable Button Bars and QuickPads. QuickPads are convenient on-screen windows that incorporate buttons or other graphical elements that can be clicked to invoke actions, such as sending keystrokes to the host, running a macro, or launching an application. Additionally, users can exercise complete control over interface elements such as colors, toolbars and QuickPad™ windows, cutting complexity and increasing productivity.

The 6530 Client Option is supported on a variety of Windows operating platforms including Windows XP and Windows 2000, providing a seamless fit into virtually any environment.
