ARLANXEO develops new rubber compound for self-sealing tires
ARLANXEO, a leading global manufacturer of synthetic elastomers, has developed a rubber compound that can be used in the future to seal tires. This solution for so-called self-sealing tires replaces the spare wheel and also presents an alternative to a repair kit or run-flat tire. An appropriate rubber compound from ARLANXEO, which is applied on the interior of the vehicle tire, enables holes occurring in the tire to be automatically sealed, so the driver can continue driving.

Luminaire designers can now test and evaluate the LUMAWISE Drive LED Holder Type Z50 with development kit from TE Connectivity
TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, has introduced a development kit for its new LUMAWISE Drive LED Holder Type Z50, enabling luminaire designers to purchase a single unit for desktop testing, product evaluation and luminaire prototyping. Each kit contains an LED holder, a cable assembly and a thermal interface material.

DSM announces global price increases for several high performance plastics
Royal DSM, a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials, today announces that significant and continuing cost increases of main raw materials throughout 2017 and early 2018 have caused DSM Engineering Plastics to increase prices globally for several polyamide and thermoplastic polyester products, effective April 1 or as contracts allow.

Tarragona, 14 februari 2018 – ELIX Polymers, een vooraanstaande producent van ABS-polymeren en -mengels, verklaart dat er belangrijke verbeteringen aan de oppervlakkwaliteit van gespoten delen worden bereikt met behulp van de warmte- en koeltechniek van Roctool voor het spuitgieten van het ELIX Ultra HH4115HI ABS/PC materiaal. Clariant significantly increases growth and further improves profitability in 2017
Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today announced full year 2017 sales of CHF 6.377 billion compared to CHF 5.847 billion in 2016. This corresponds to 9 % growth in local currency driven by double-digit gains in Catalysis and Natural Resources. The strong organic growth amounted to 6 %, driven by higher volume contributions by all Business Areas.
