Diehl Aircabin and EconCore combine to develop aircraft interior modules based on thermoplastic honeycomb
Thermoplastic honeycomb technology specialist EconCore has joined forces with Diehl Aircabin to develop next- generation solutions for aircraft interior modules during a European Commission funded project. The two companies envisage a new highly cost-effective process for creating modules by thermoforming and functionalizing mono-material sandwich panels in a single step.

De nieuwe J7KNU-magneetschakelaar van Omron, de kleinste in zijn soort die op dit moment in Europa met dit schakelvermogen verkrijgbaar is, is uitermate geschikt voor een groot aantal toepassingen waar een compacte, betrouwbare en eenvoudig toepasbare oplossing voor schakelvermogen vereist is. Ondanks zijn kleine formaat van 35,5 x 35,5 x 33 mm beschikt de J7KNU-magneetschakelaar over een vermogen van 2,2 kW bij AC3-bedrijf. Hij is beschikbaar in een drie- en vierpolige uitvoering met AC- of DC-spoelen en als omkeerschakelaar met mechanische vergrendeling.

InSciTe komt met 's werelds eerste lignineraffinaderij voor scheepsbrandstof
Geleen - 5 september 2017 - Na een lang proces van ontwikkeling door Chemelot InSciTe (het Chemelot Institute for Science & Technology) zal lignine binnenkort op commerciële schaal via een biobased proces kunnen worden verwerkt tot een olieachtig product. Onderzoekers van het Lignin RICHES-project werken aan een thermokatalytisch chemisch proces dat is onwikkeld door de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven.
