KWS, Wavin en Total tekenen samenwerkingsovereenkomst voor ontwikkeling van de PlasticRoad
Brussel, 20 oktober 2016 - Het PlasticRoad concept, in 2015 geïntroduceerd door KWS, zet gerecycled plastic afval om in lichtgewicht elementen. Deze elementen hebben een holle constructie die gebruikt kan worden als waterberging en als ruimte voor de doorvoer van kabels en leidingen. De prefab elementen zijn makkelijk te transporteren, aan te leggen en te onderhouden. Omdat ze licht van gewicht zijn kunnen de elementen eenvoudig op een zandondergrond geplaatst worden. Het doel is een weg te creëren met een kleinere ecologische voetafdruk dan een traditionele weg. Op het moment dat de elementen het einde van hun levensduur bereiken, kunnen ze gerecycled worden. Dit draagt bij aan een circulaire economie en een schoner milieu.

TE Connectivity, SAP, ifm and the OPC Foundation Announce New IIC Testbed on Sensor-to-the-Cloud Connectivity
DARMSTADT, Germany – October 20, 2016 – TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors has received approval by the Industrial Internet Consortium® (IIC) for an IIC testbed on sensor-to-the-cloud connectivity called “Smart Manufacturing Connectivity for Brown-field Sensors Testbed”. This testbed led by TE is being carried out with fellow IIC member SAP, ifm and the OPC Foundation. The idea for the testbed was publicly unveiled at the Hanover Fair in April of this year.
