Le tecnologie multistrato e le leghe polimeriche di SABIC aiutano i produttori a ridurre le perdite nel trasporto, ottimizzare la protezione delle merci, e massimizzare la stabilità dei pallet, aumentando la forza dei film termoretraibili (collation shrink) ed estensibili, usati per proteggere gli imballaggi alimentari, e rendendoli più resistenti. Queste innovazioni apportano maggiore resistenza alla tensione e superiore robustezza, ottimizzando così il processo di avvolgimento, riducendo le rotture del film e migliorando la costanza qualitativa del film estensibile. La tecnologia SABIC riduce anche l’impatto ambientale, permettendo una riduzione degli spessori che può arrivare fino al 20%, rispetto a film di diversa concezione.Sittard, Paesi Bassi, 21 giugno 2016 - Oggi, si stima che un terzo dei cibi prodotti per il consumo umano vada perduto o sprecato, in una quantità pari a 1,3 miliardi di tonnellate l'anno, secondo il rapporto "Save Food" della FAO (Food & Agriculture Organization delle Nazioni Unite). Persino nelle filiere più sviluppate, come quelle europee, il 4% delle merci trasportate vengono danneggiate in qualche modo, a causa della scarsa stabilità dei pallet. La sempre maggiore attenzione da parte dei consumatori al comfort e alla sostenibilità indurrà continui cambiamenti e innovazioni nel packaging.
