Clariant schliesst den Verkauf seines Detergents & Intermediates-Geschäftes ab
Muttenz, 7. Januar 2014 – Clariant, ein weltweit führendes Spezialchemieunternehmen, gab heute den Abschluss des Verkaufs seines Detergents & Intermediates-Geschäftes an die International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG) bekannt. Der Verkaufspreis beläuft sich auf insgesamt 58 Millionen CHF, wovon 20 Millionen CHF in bar zum Verkaufsabschluss fällig wurden. Weltweit wurden 660 Mitarbeitende von Clariant in das neue ICIG-Geschäft überführt, das ab sofort unter der Dachmarke WeylChem tätig sein wird.

Marcel Lubben named President Reverdia
Reverdia announced today that Marcel Lubben (1967) has been appointed President, effective January 1, 2014. Reverdia, a joint venture between Royal DSM and Roquette Frères is dedicated to be the global leader in the market for sustainable succinic acid. Reverdia combines DSM's expertise in Materials Sciences and biotechnology with Roquette's know-how in plant-based raw materials processing. Reporting to the Reverdia board, Lubben will be responsible for developing and managing Reverdia into the next phase of growth.

ARCHROMA NIMMT IM WERK JAMSHORO (PAKISTAN) AUFBEREITUNGSANLAGE FÜR VORLAUFWASSER IN BETRIEB
Reinach, 13. Dezember 2013 – Archroma, ein weltweit führender Hersteller von Spezialchemikalien, gibt bekannt, dass die Unternehmensgruppe am Fertigungsstandort für Textilchemikalien in Jamshoro (Pakistan) ihre erste nachhaltige Abwasseraufbereitungsanlage (Sustainable Effluent Treatment, SET) in Betrieb genommen hat. Mit einer Investition in Höhe von PKR 371 Millionen unterstützt die Anlage nicht nur die Rückgewinnung von 80 % des Brauchwassers, sondern gestattet auch eine effiziente Aufbereitung auf Zero-Liquid-Discharge-Basis (ohne Einleitung) und erfüllt damit die äußerst strengen Umweltanforderungen des Landes.
