DSM partners with Petropol Polimeros to meet growing demand for Akulon polyamide 6 in South America
Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences Company, has signed an agreement with Petropol Polimeros, a leading engineering plastics compound producer in South America with more than 20 years' experience in engineering plastics. Under the terms of the agreement, which became effective on Oct 1st 2013, Petropol Polimeros will produce Akulon® polyamide 6 compounds, which DSM will market and sell to its customers throughout South America. Financial details were not released.

World's first PLA bioplastic touch screen computer from SUPLA and Kuender at K 2013, based on lactides from Corbion Purac
SUPLA, who announced plans for a 10 kT polymerization plant earlier this year, has developed optimized PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) compounds for the consumer electronics industry based on lactides from Corbion Purac. The launching application is the world's first bioplastic touch screen computer, developed in cooperation with Kuender, an OEM/ODM for many brand customers. The high gloss housing of this computer is made from high heat PLA. Corbion Purac, the global leader in lactic acid and lactides, will showcase this computer at K 2013.

LEIDEN, Niederlande - 9. Oktober 2013 - S8092, ein neuer Klebstoff von Avery Dennison, ist für Automobilhersteller und andere Produzenten eine entscheidende Hilfe bei der Etikettierung silikonbeschichteter oder mit Silikon kontaminierter Oberflächen. Der neue S8092-Klebstoff macht mit zwei seit langem bestehenden Problemen bei der Etikettierung im Industriebereich Schluss: Störungen bei der Verarbeitung und ein vorzeitiges Ablösen des Etiketts vor dem Ende der Nutzungsdauer des Produkts.
