(Foto: Belden, PR252) Schalksmühle, Allemagne – 8 de octubre de 2012 - Belden Inc., líder mundial en soluciones de transmisión de señales para aplicaciones críticas, presenta en las regiones de Europa, Oriente Medio y África tres nuevos módulos de E/S de la nueva serie LioN-R de Lumberg Automation, que se pueden utilizar para conectar de forma segura sensores y actuadores a redes EtherNet/IP en condiciones ambientales adversas. Estos módulos, que también se lanzarán en América y Asia a lo largo de este trimestre, llevan carcasas de zinc fundido a presión que cumplen los requisitos de protección de la clase industrial IP67, lo que permite el aislamiento galvánico entre los sensores, actuadores y el sistema en bus de mayor nivel. Esto garantiza la protección de los controladores contra interferencias. La tecnología de conexión M12 antivibración y las salidas a prueba de cortocircuitos garantizan un elevado nivel de seguridad funcional. Los tres módulos ofrecen 16 canales digitales cada uno, configurados como entradas, salidas o una combinación de ambas. Dado que también están equipados con un conmutador de dos puertos (10/100 Mbit/s), se pueden utilizar para implementar topologías tanto lineales como de anillo. Asimismo, soportan DLR (protocolo de anillo de nivel de dispositivo), lo que significa que, si se rompe una conexión, los módulos conmutan inmediatamente a otro segmento de anillo, de tal forma que los sistemas conectados pueden seguir funcionando sin interrupción. El concepto de fácil diagnóstico permite la rápida localización de averías.
