Clariant is named Pigment Supplier of the Year by Sitivesp
Muttenz/ São Paulo, December 23, 2011 - Sitivesp, the Union of Paints & Coatings producers of the State of São Paulo, has named Clariant “Supplier of the Year” in the Pigment category of its annual award scheme. This is the 17th time, in the 20 year history of the award, that Clariant has been chosen as the best Pigment supplier.

CLOSURE OF FLAACH TAPE DEVELOPMENT & MANUFACTURING FACILITY
The Netherlands, December 21, 2011 - DSM Dyneema has announced its decision to close its facility in Flaach, Switzerland. The site was acquired in 2007 as part of the acquisition of Pamako A.G., and currently develops and produces Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMwPE) tape. Approx. 25 people are affected by this decision.

Top leaders from across the industry including speakers from the Saudi Ministry of Health, National Guard Health Affairs, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, GE Healthcare Performance Solutions and other international organizations came together to discuss the current challenges of patient safety. This seminar focused on addressing the current challenges for leadership, front line staff and clinicians in the areas of reporting, culture change, and interventions.

Die leichten Xenoy* und Lexan* Kunststoffe von SABIC sorgen in den neuen 3M™ Versaflo™ Schutzhelmen der M-Reihe für Komfort im Alltag
BERGEN OP ZOOM, Niederlande – 15. Dezember 2011 – Da Schutzbekleidung nur dann wirkungsvoll ist, wenn sie von den Arbeitern auch getragen wird, hat 3M™ eine neue ergonomische und äußerst bequeme Linie von Helmkopfteilen und Schutzhelmen aus den leichten Kunststoffen Xenoy* und Lexan* OQ von optisch hochwertiger Qualität der Geschäftseinheit Innovative Plastics von SABIC entwickelt. Die neuen Helmkopfteile und Visierrahmen der 3M Versaflo™ Gebläseatemschutzprodukte der M-Reihe bestehen aus Xenoy Polycarbonat/Polybutylenterephthalat (PC/PBT) Kunststoff, der in den Kundenfarben eingefärbt wurde. Die dadurch mögliche dünnwandige Gestaltung erlaubt eine Gewichtsreduktion von ungefähr 15 - 20 Prozent im Vergleich zu den Produkten der L-Reihe des Unternehmens. Der für die Visiere eingesetzte kristallklare Lexan OQ PC Kunststoff bietet ausgezeichnete optische Eigenschaften und eine hohe Schlagzähigkeit. Songwon, Pan Gulf und Polysys unterzeichnen Vereinbarung für die Herstellung und den weltweiten Vertrieb von One-Pack-Systemen
Ulsan, Korea – 14. Dezember 2011 – Die Songwon Industrial Co., Ltd., Pan Gulf Holdings und Polysys Industries haben heute beim Annual GPCA Forum 2011 in Dubai (VAE) ihre Absicht bekannt gegeben, eine globale Kooperationsvereinbarung für die Herstellung und den Vertrieb von Songnox® OPS einzugehen. Diese Ankündigung folgt der unlängst erfolgten Übernahme der Additive Technology Greiz GmbH (ATG), einem der weltweit größten Hersteller von One-Pack-Systemen (OPS), durch die Songwon Industrial Group.
