Clariant relocates Textile Chemicals BU Headquarters to Singapore to align with global market needs
Muttenz/Singapore, November 1, 2011 - Specialty chemicals company Clariant today officially inaugurated its Textile Chemicals Business Unit (BU) headquarters in Singapore. Along with the inauguration of the BU headquarters, Clariant is also celebrating the relocation of its global textile application technology lab to Singapore. The lab will be the main application development facility for all new products developed globally by Clariant’s Textile Chemicals BU.

Operatives Geschäft verläuft nach Plan, Süd-Chemie auf Kurs
• Solide operative Performance bei unterschiedlicher Nachfragesituation in den einzelnen Geschäftseinheiten, starke negative Währungseffekte; Catalysis & Energy mit erwartetem Umsatzanstieg.
• Umsatzplus im 3. Quartal von 25% in Lokalwährung und 9% in CHF, hauptsächlich durch Akquisitionen und Preisanhebungen.
• EBITDA vor Einmaleffekten CHF 216 Millionen, gegenüber CHF 232 Millionen im Vorjahreszeitraum; negative Währungseinflüsse von CHF 73 Millionen.
• EBITDA-Marge vor Einmaleffekten im 3. Quartal bei 11,6%, im Vergleich zu 13,6% im Vorjahreszeitraum; bei konstanten Währungen lag die Marge bei 13,4%.
• Operativer Cashflow im 3. Quartal mit CHF 105 Millionen positiv, verglichen mit einem Minus von CHF 101 Millionen im 2. Quartal 2011 und CHF 173 Millionen in der Vorjahresperiode.
• Ausblick: Clariant geht für das restliche Jahr 2011 von einem ähnlichen Geschäftsumfeld wie im 3. Quartal aus und erwartet eine weitere Abschwächung der Nachfrage, volatile Wechselkurse und stabile Rohstoffkosten. Der Konzern bestätigt seine Prognose für das Gesamtjahr 2011, die einen Umsatz zwischen CHF 7,0 und 7,2 Milliarden sowie eine EBITDA-Marge zwischen 12,8% und 13,2% vorsieht.

Oktober. 2011 – SABICs strategische Geschäftseinheit Innovative Plastics präsentiert derzeit die niedrige Feuchtigkeitsabsorption von Ultem*Polyetherimid-(PEI)-Schaum für Verbundstoffe in Luftfahrtanwendungen.
