Juni 2011 – SABIC Innovative Plastics gab heute bekannt, dass für seinen vielseitigen fortschrittlichen Faserstoff aus Ultem*-Polyetherimid (PEI) ein wichtiges neues Anwendungsgebiet im Bereich der Arbeits- und Schutzbekleidung für höchste Anforderungen erschlossen wurde. Japan Wool Textile, ein Unternehmen der NIKKE-Gruppe, mischt für die Herstellung von Garnen, Stoffen und Bekleidung die Ultem-Faser mit Wolle und anderen Materialien, was eine einzigartige Kombination von Komfort und Schutz bietet, die sich unter anderem durch eine dauerhafte, halogenfreie Flammwidrigkeit (FR) und hervorragende Ultraviolett-(UV)-Beständigkeit auszeichnet.
