Clariant supports ZHAW’s pioneering anti-freeze program
Muttenz, November 18, 2010 - Muttenz headquartered specialty chemicals expert Clariant is supporting the ZHAW School of Engineering in Winterthur in a major R&D collaboration on-target to achieve a breakthrough in anti-freeze technology. Sectors such as wind power, refrigeration and aviation will benefit from more reliable cold temperature performance and cuts in energy use if trials led by researchers at the ZHAW to prevent or drastically minimize surface ice build-up are successful.

Clariant adds polyetheramines to Industrial & Consumer Specialities chemicals range

A new reactor in the company’s nitril-amine plant in Gendorf, Germany, has just started production to facilitate the portfolio extension.

BERGEN OP ZOOM, Paesi Bassi – 16 novembre 2010 – Al K 2010, SABIC Innovative Plastics ha lanciato la sua ultima novità nel settore delle materie termoplastiche high-tech: una nuova famiglia di resine Noryl GTX*, in grado di offrire ai produttori e agli assemblatori del settore automobilistico di tutto il mondo un importante vantaggio in termini di design. Queste nuove miscele conduttive di poliammide (PA) e polifeniletere modificato (PPE) riducono il coefficiente di dilatazione termica (CTE) dal 20% al 40% rispetto ai materiali precedenti e consentono una maggiore stabilità dimensionale e una migliore precisione di allineamento dei pannelli, offrendo ai designer automobilistici una più ampia libertà nella creazione di pannelli di carrozzeria di ottima qualità, ad alta precisione e più grandi di quanto sia mai stato possibile, ma sempre in grado di integrarsi nei processi esistenti, quali i sistemi di verniciatura in linea a temperature più elevate.
