BERGEN OP ZOOM, Paesi Bassi – 9 novembre 2010 – In occasione del K 2010, SABIC Innovative Plastics ha oggi annunciato che la sua lastra Lexan* F6000 in policarbonato (PC) autoestinguente (FR) e ultraresistente è stata scelta da Plexx AS, una delle principali aziende di trasformazione di materiali plastici in Norvegia, per la termoformatura dei primi telai per finestrini nei treni passeggeri europei. I telai saranno utilizzati nelle cabine dei treni della Norwegian State Railways. Questo avanzato materiale in policarbonato fatto su misura sostituisce il composito lo ”Sheet Moulding Compaound” (SMC) al fine di ottenere prestazioni significativamente migliorate e tempi di ciclo più rapidi e di evitare allo stesso tempo le varie operazioni secondarie richieste per l’SMC.
