Geneva, April 17 2009 - DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (P&IP) has named Distrupol as its sole distributor in UK and Ireland for its range of specialty ethylene copolymers products dedicated to cosmetic and industrial markets such as Biomax® polymers, Bynel® adhesive resin, Elvaloy® polymer modifiers, Elvax® EVA resins, Entira® resin modifiers and additives, Fusabond® modifier resin, Nucrel® ethylene copolymers, Surlyn®, ionomer resin.

PHILIPS AND DSM ANNOUNCE BREAKTHROUGH SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION FOR HEAT MANAGEMENT
Philips, the world’s leading producer of energy-efficient lighting solutions, has introduced a new LED lamp with a difference. Based on a joint development with DSM, the Philips MASTER LED MR16 retrofit lamp is the first high-power LED application in which the aluminum cover is replaced with a thermally conductive plastic – Stanyl® – to control the heat. Stanyl also offers the additional benefits of flexibility in design, exceptional durability and weight reduction. Going forward, this sustainable solution may be applied across Philips’ LED retrofit lamp range.

Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH (Neckartenzlingen, Germany) has introduced a new managed Fast/Gigabit Ethernet Switch to complement its OpenRail product family. The switch is available with 8 or 9 Fast Ethernet ports, 4 of which supporting Power over Ethernet (PoE). The uplink ports can be designed for RJ45 connectors as well as for any customer specific combination of other connectors, such as MTRJ, ST or SC. RJ45 or SFP ports (10/100/1000 Base TX) are provided for Gigabit uplinks and can be equipped with SFP fiber modules (1000 Base FX/SX/LX/LH).
