BERGEN OP ZOOM, Pays-Bas - 3 septembre 2008 - SABIC Innovative Plastics collabore avec Legrand, un fabricant français d'appareillages électriques de sécurité, de systèmes de cheminement de câbles, d'interrupteurs muraux et d'éclairages, pour aider la société à concevoir des produits élégants et innovants destinés au domaine résidentiel et tertiaire. BERGEN OP ZOOM, Pays-Bas – 27 août 2008 – Les récentes avancées en terme de design et d’aérodynamique automobile, couplées à une utilisation croissante de solutions plastiques, permettent de réduire la consommation du véhicule et son impact environnemental. Dans les années à venir, le polycarbonate devrait participer de manière de plus en plus significative à la résolution de cette problématique en voyant son utilisation augmenter dans les vitrages automobiles. En réponse à cette tendance, il est nécessaire de recourir au procédé d’injection compression de deux composants polycarbonate (2K ICM), assurant un niveau de contrainte limité ainsi qu’une haute qualité optique pour ces surfaces vitrées.

Borealis and MCC agree to improve PP compound supply for the automotive industry
Borealis AG, a leading supplier of innovative value creating plastics solutions, and its U.S. subsidiary, Borealis Compounds LLC, have entered into manufacturing and supply agreements with affiliates of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) to improve the supply of polypropylene compounds (PP/CP) to the automotive industry in Europe and the United States. The agreements are intended to aid all companies in meeting demand and enhancing the competitiveness of their automotive customers, through localised production and supply of high quality, high-performance PP/CP materials.
