Solutia and Employees Donate Over RMB 295,000 to Assist in Earthquake Relief Efforts
SHANGHAI (May 30, 2008) – Solutia Inc. (NYSE: SOA), today announced that its Chinese subsidiaries as well as employees from several Solutia sites are donating more than RMB 295,000 to aid relief efforts for victims of the 8.0 magnitude earthquake that struck the Sichuan province of Central China on May 12, 2008.

Neue ultrareine Stat-Loy* Werkstoffe von SABIC Innovative Plastics bieten Halbleiterindustrie außerordentliche, „saubere“ kunststoffbasierte Lösung
BERGEN OP ZOOM, Niederlande – 29. Mai 2008 – Heute verlangen Verbraucher höhere Leistungen und mehr Funktionen von elektronischen Geräten. Die Halbleiterindustrie bemüht sich daher, existierenden integrierten Schaltkreisen, so genannten „Chips“ oder ICs, eine größere Funktionalität zu verleihen. In der nächsten Generation der Chipherstellung wird ein Fotolithografieverfahren mit ArF-Laser-Technologie (ArF = Argonfluorid) eingesetzt. Die Anwendung von ArF-Lasern wurde jedoch verzögert, da es an ausreichend „sauberen“ Kunststoffen fehlte, die für Schutzbehälter (Foto- und Projektionsmasken (Retikel)) für die IC-Herstellung benötigt werden. Der Geschäftsbereich LNP* Spezialwerkstoffe von SABIC Innovative Plastics hat sich mit diesem Problem und den Bedürfnissen der Kunden befasst und eine Reihe ultrareiner, transparenter (UPT) Werkstoffe der Reihe Stat-Loy* 63000CT entwickelt. Die UPT Stat-Loy Kunststoffe können bei der Verwendung in Waferschutzvorrichtungen Beschädigung durch Ausgasung verhindern, die zu verunreinigten Wafern, höheren Ausschussraten und höherem Kostenaufwand führt.

Moog Donates to the Victims of May 12th Sichuan Earthquake
