PPG donates to help ‘Warm Children’s Winter’
BEIJING, March 31, 2008 – PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG) employees in China have donated winter clothing for students in 20 schools in Nangqian County, Yushu, Qinghai Province, who were severely affected by the unusual winter storm this year. A thousand garments were collected to bring warmth to these children.

CHUNG-JU, Corea, Países Bajos – 31 de marzo de 2008 – Con el objetivo de mejorar el servicio y el soporte técnico a los clientes coreanos y del resto de Asia, el mercado con mayor crecimiento del mundo, SABIC Innovative Plastics ha anunciado hoy la apertura de una gran línea de producción en sus instalaciones de Chung-Ju, Corea. La nueva línea producirá compuestos termoplásticos reforzados con fibra de vidrio larga LNP* Verton*, ampliamente utilizados en las industrias asiáticas de automoción, telecomunicaciones y electrodomésticos. This new material, Dyneema Purity® UG, was developed specifically to meet the need for strong, stable orthopedic implants that provide consistent performance over a longer term. This new product was developed specifically to help medical device manufacturers design smaller, lower-profile implants for minimally invasive surgical procedures without sacrificing strength and durability. Expansion of the Dyneema Purity® product portfolio is just one example of DSM’s strong commitment to the biomedical market.
