GE presenta l’Ultem* bianco, il nuovo film che elimina la necessità di uno strato di finitura opaca sulle etichette per codici a barre
BERGEN OP ZOOM, OLANDA — 24 maggio 2006 - Per far fronte alla richiesta di un film in plastica opaco e ad alte prestazioni, in grado di eliminare tutti quei trattamenti necessari ad ottenere un soddisfacente contrasto di stampa, GE – Plastics, con la collaborazione dei propri clienti globali, ha sviluppato un nuovo colore per il proprio film in polieterimide (PEI) Ultem*. Il film Ultem WH217 bianco è caratterizzato da un'opacità tale da consentire una corretta lettura del codice a barre; il film garantisce infatti un contrasto di stampa del 98%. Oltre a permettere ai produttori di etichette di risparmiare su costi e tempi necessari all'applicazione di uno strato di finitura opaca, il film Ultem WH217 offre caratteristiche di ritardo di fiamma assenti nei film in PEN, una resistenza alle alte temperature e una stabilità dimensionale superiore rispetto a quella dei film in PVF (fluoruro di polivinile). Per la realizzazione di questo prodotto, GE - Plastics ha lavorato a stretto contatto con i leader mondiali nella trasformazione di film e nastri pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA tapes).
