DSM ENGINEERING PLASTICS AUMENTA DEL 25% LA CAPACITÀ PRODUTTIVA DEL COPOLIESTERE ARNITEL® IN RISPOSTA ALLA CRESCITA DELLA DOMANDA MONDIALE
DSM Engineering Plastics ha deciso di ampliare le strutture produttive del sito di Emmen, nei Paesi Bassi, per rispondere alla crescita della domanda mondiale di TPE-E (elastomero termoplastico costituito da un copolimero a blocchi etere-estere) Arnitel®. L’espansione, che permetterà di aumentare del 25% la capacità produttiva entro la metà del 2004, è la seconda realizzata negli ultimi cinque anni negli impianti dedicati alla produzione di Arnitel®. Emmen è il sito DSM in cui si concentrano le attività di produzione e innovazione per Arnitel®; da lì, il prodotto viene spedito in tutto il mondo.

Univar purchases division of Italian chemicals distributor
Rotterdam, The Netherlands, January 5, 2004 – Univar N.V. (Euronext Amsterdam: UNIVR), a world leader in chemical distribution, today announced that its Univar Europe business unit has acquired substantially all of the assets of the Basic Chemicals and Water Treatment Products division of Guido Tazzetti & C. S.P.A., a chemicals distributor based in Turin, Italy. For the calendar year 2002, Tazzetti’s Basic Chemicals and Water Treatment Products recorded net sales of € 23 million.

DSM Engineering Plastics ha introdotto sul mercato un nuovo grado di poliammide 46 (PA46) Stanyl® ad alta fluidità. Sviluppato espressamente per la realizzazione di pezzi grandi o complessi, Stanyl® 46HF4130 è rinforzato con il 30% di fibra di vetro e stabilizzato al calore, in modo da garantire livelli elevati di resistenza ad alta temperatura. La fluidità del materiale fuso è superiore di oltre il 60% a quella dei gradi standard di PA46 rinforzati con il 30% di fibra di vetro (lunghezza di scorrimento con metodo a spirale: 170 mm a 1000 per 46HF4130 contro 100mm per i gradi normali).
