IT Security Seminar van e92plus
Op 10 en 11 juni 2003 organiseert e92plus, in samenwerking met onder andere Enterasys, Netscreen Technologies en Stonesoft, een gratis seminar over actuele onderwerpen op het gebied van IT-beveiliging in de Amsterdam Arena. Naast de presentaties en productdemonstraties, biedt het seminar deelnemers ook de mogelijkheid om meer uitgebreide informatie van de leveranciers ontvangen in zogeheten één-op-één sessies. Het seminar van 10 juni richt zich speciaal op eindgebruikers, de resellers zijn uitgenodigd voor 11 juni.

IL MERCATO PER I PRODOTTI RESISTENTI AI MICROBI SI ESPANDE, LE GOMME ANTI-MICROBICHE SICURE RISPONDONO A IMPORTANTI RICHIESTE DELL’INDUSTRIA
Il mondo intorno a noi brulica di organismi microscopici come batteri, funghi e muffe. Infatti, gli scienziati, affermano che la vita come noi la vediamo sarebbe impossibile senza i microbi. Alcuni microrganismi sono di grande utilità per l’essere umano, in quanto ci aiutano a digerire il cibo, a decomporre i nostri rifiuti e rivestono un ruolo essenziale nella produzione di cibo fermentato come la birra, il vino, il formaggio, lo yogurt e l’aceto. Tuttavia, altri microbi possono causare malattie, provocare la ruggine sui metalli e la marcescenza dei cibi, oppure portare macchie e odori che danneggiano i prodotti e le loro proprietà. Ne deriva che la domanda di prodotti anti-microbici (AM) è in rapida crescita con oltre 1 miliardo di dollari che ogni anno vengono spesi per biocidi destinati a prodotti diversi come i nastri trasportatori, i saponi liquidi, gli agenti detergenti e di bellezza, i dispositivi di cura per le ferite, i cateteri e gli articoli in gomma.

GREAT LAKES EXPANDS ANTIMONY OXIDE CAPACITY IN MEXICO
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA -May 19, 2003- Great Lakes Chemical Corporation (NYSE: GLK) today announced it has added a fifth antimony oxide production line at its Reynosa, Mexico, facility. Commercial production started in February 2003 and immediately boosted capacity by 20 percent.
