DSM Akulon based Pack-Age™ wins prestigious packaging award
DSM's revolutionary cheese-ripening solution, Pack-Age™ has been awarded Bronze in one of the world's most competitive packaging innovation contests, 'De Gouden Noot'. Pack-Age is made from Akulon polyamide 6 which delivers properties critical to the effective ripening and preservation of cheeses. A judging panel of 20 industry experts from across the value chain chose Pack-Age from a shortlist of 10 finalists and 40 entries as the most innovative Business-to-Business (B2B) packaging concept.

DSM and Stanyl help Dutch cycling team win World Human Powered Speed Challenge
The Human Power Team of Dutch cyclists won the 2012 World Human Powered Speed Challenge (from 10 September to 15 September) with the Velox 2. This lightweight, aerodynamic velomobile was developed in partnership with DSM whose extensive knowledge and expertise in materials, health, and nutrition was crucial to the team’s success. A vital component of the Velox 2 was the drive-train incorporating DSM’s Stanyl®, a high-performance polyamide 46 which helped give the Human Power Team the edge they needed to win.
