Clariant im Dow Jones Sustainability Index 2018
Muttenz, 13. September 2018 – Clariant, ein weltweit führendes Spezialchemieunternehmen, wurde heute zum sechsten Mal in Folge in den Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) aufgenommen. Damit wird bestätigt, dass Clariant weltweit zu den nachhaltigsten Chemieunternehmen zählt. Die Aufnahme des Unternehmens in den DJSI 2018 würdigt sein verstärktes, langfristiges Engagement beim Erreichen von Nachhaltigkeitszielen.

Erster Spatenstich für Clariants sunliquid®-Zellulose-Ethanol-Anlage in Rumänien
Muttenz, 12. September 2018 – Mit dem traditionellen ersten Spatenstich hat Clariant, ein weltweit führendes Spezialchemieunternehmen, heute offiziell den Bau der ersten sunliquid-Grossanlage zur Produktion von Zellulose-Ethanol aus Agrarreststoffen begonnen. Dabei kommt erstmals die im Unternehmen entwickelte sunliquid-Technologie im industriellen Massstab zum Einsatz. An der Zeremonie in Podari bei Craiova im Südwesten Rumäniens nahmen offizielle Vertreter der rumänischen Regierung und der Schweizer Botschafter Urs Herren teil. An der Spitze der Clariant-Repräsentanten stand Vorstandsmitglied Christian Kohlpaintner.

Clariant bestätigt SABIC's Kaufabschluss des 24,99% Anteils an Clariant nach Erhalt aller behördlichen Genehmigungen
Muttenz, 10. September 2018 – Clariant, ein weltweit führendes Spezialchemieunternehmen, gab heute bekannt, dass SABIC alle noch ausstehenden Genehmigungen der Wettbewerbsbehörden für den Kauf des 24,99 % Anteils an Clariant erhalten hat. Daher wird ein uneingeschränkter Kaufabschluss innerhalb der nächsten Tage erfolgen. Dieser macht SABIC zum größten strategischen Ankeraktionär von Clariant sowie zum zweiten Ankeraktionär neben der Gruppe der vormaligen Süd-Chemie-Aktionäre.

Clariant and Save the Children partner to stop the spread of malaria in Myanmar
Clariant, a world-leader in specialty chemicals and Save the Children, one of the the world’s largest independent children's rights organisations, today announced a partnership to help stem the spread of malaria in Myanmar. The Clariant Foundation has pledged CHF 150,000 for Malaria Prevention and Control and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Save the Children to form a working team to study, design and implement a range of health and education programmes in Myanmar.

Clariant Q1, 2018 Profit grows to Rs.15.30 crores
Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited, India's leading specialty chemicals producer, reported sales of Rs. 264 crore, for the quarter ended June 30, 2018, as against Rs. 258 crore, on a comparable basis for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The PBITDA for the quarter ended June 30, 2018, stood at Rs. 24.81 crore, as compared to Rs. 7.20 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
