Clariant ups paper fluorescence quenching performance
Muttenz, March 5, 2010 - Specialty chemicals expert Clariant sets a new paper industry benchmark in fluorescence removal with the return of new and improved Cartarex® NT liq fluorescence quenching agent for papermakers. Cartarex NT liq achieves up to 70% more effective quenching than competitor products for rapid cleansing of residual fluorescence from paper machines and for quenching fluorescence in broke, recycled fiber and deinked pulps.

Sarlink has found a new business relationship in Entec, which will supply Sarlink’s products to the plastics and rubber industry in Mexico. Entec will be Sarlink’s sole distribution partner for all Sarlink grades from now on. In this way, Sarlink is able to provide better service and the best possible supply solutions for its customers throughout Mexico. This distribution partnership is a significant step to support and drive Sarlink’s position in the growing market of thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV).

März 2010 – Es ist durchaus möglich, dass Rugby- und Fußballfans in Dublin ihre Augen weniger auf den Spielstand, sondern vor allem auf die Struktur des neuen Aviva-Stadions richten werden. Die transparenten, geschwungen verlaufenden Wände sind aus widerstandsfähigen, praktisch unzerbrechlichen Polycarbonatplatten vom Typ Lexan* Exell D gebaut, was dem Stadion eine außergewöhnliche Eleganz verleiht, sowie hervorragende Eigenschaften und bedeutende Umweltvorteile bietet. Als Anerkennung für den strategischen Beitrag der Lexan-Plattentechnologie zum Stadion hat nun der Unternehmerverband European Polycarbonate Sheet Extruders (EPSE) die Leistungen von SABIC Innovative Plastics mit dem Preis Best Project and Innovation Award 2009 bedacht. Damit hat nun SABIC Innovative Plastics zum zweiten Mal eine EPSE-Auszeichnung erhalten. Im Jahr 2008 hatte das Unternehmen den ersten Preis in der Kategorie „Best Innovation“ für die Metrostation Carmes in der französischen Stadt Toulouse gewonnen – wo die Dachkonstruktion ebenfalls mit Lexan Exell D-Platten ausgeführt wurde. COPERATION BETWEEN BOZZIO, DSM, BERN UNIVERSITY AND DYNAMIC TEST CENTER BRINGS SAFER MOBILITY FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY
The joysteer® X-by-wire system with precision gears made of Stanyl® PA 46 resin from DSM Engineering Plastics is now in commercial production for the handicapped market and available from car modification companies in Switzerland, Germany and the Benelux. This rapid development from prototype to successful commercialisation was achieved by the Swiss company Bozzio within record time of just three years. In this period, Bozzio obtained the strictest level of safety approvals for the European market (TÜV approval according to ECE-R 13H braking system and ECE-R 79 steering system), making joysteer®x-by-wire commercially available to provide people with a disability a user-friendly solution to drive a car with safety and confidence. This is the first system with such a high safety level.

Die drei Ausführungen MACH104-20TX-F, MACH104-20TX-FR und MACH104 TX-F-4PoE haben jeweils 20 RJ45-Ports (10/100/1000 BASE-TX) sowie vier Combo-Ports (100/1000 BASE-FX), die mit SFP-Fiberoptic-Transceivern bestückt werden können.
