Belden introduces new Brilliance® speaker cables
Belden has introduced Brilliance® Oxygen-Free High-Conductivity (OFHC) halogen-free speaker cables. Designed for indoor, outdoor and buried applications, these cables connect loudspeakers with amplifiers and thanks to their high conductivity oxygen-free copper core, they deliver superior and distinctive sound performance. Twisted and color-coded conductors provide better RF, sound quality and improved EMC and low capacitance polyolefin insulation ensures superior high frequency response and extended distance runs.

Assegnato a Hyundai e SABIC Innovative Plastics il prestigioso premio iF Product Design Award 2008 per l’ATDV QarmaQ
HANNOVER, Germania – 3 marzo 2008 – L’ADTV (Advanced Technology Demonstration Vehicle, veicolo dimostrativo di tecnologia avanzata) QarmaQ di Hyundai è stato scelto come vincitore del premio International Forum (iF) Product Design Awards 2008 nella categoria Advanced Studies, che riguarda progetti sperimentali di prodotti e studi non ancora concretizzati. Hyundai Motor Europe e SABIC Innovative Plastics, che hanno sviluppato la QarmaQ in collaborazione, sono stati insigniti congiuntamente del premio, che verrà assegnato oggi, in occasione della cerimonia di premiazione che si terrà presso la fiera di Hannover. Da 54 anni l’ iF Design Award è un riconoscimento internazionale che attesta il pregio e l’eccellenza del design. DSM expands biomedical portfolio
DSM Biomedical today announced the start of a development program of polyester based Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) for use in medical devices. In the coming years DSM Biomedical will work together with medical device companies to develop tailored TPE material grades. These grades will be specifically aimed at making orthopedic devices perform better or, alternatively, at enabling the development of novel products and therapies.

MATTHEW HELLSTERN TO HEAD CHEMTURA URETHANES
Matthew Hellstern will assume leadership of the Chemtura Urethanes business unit as vice president, announced Chief Business Officer & Group President Robert Wedinger, Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM). Mr. Hellstern replaces John Dennerlein, who will lead the Industrial Lubricants & Additives unit in Chemtura’s Petroleum Additives business. Mr. Hellstern also will continue as vice president of Performance Specialties Products.
