POLITIE HONGKONG KIEST VOOR BESCHERMING
URMOND (NL), 27 September, 2007 - DSM Dyneema heeft vandaag bekendgemaakt dat de politie van Hongkong kiest voor bescherming met Dyneema® SB21 unidirectional (UD) composiet ter bescherming tegen kogels met een stalen kern. Het kogelwerend vest is de eerste flexibele ballistische oplossing die aan de beveiligingsvereisten van de Hongkongse politie voldoet; in traditionele vesten zijn harde geperste panelen of metaal verwerkt. Dyneema® SB21 UD biedt een unieke combinatie van werend vermogen, een laag gewicht en flexibiliteit. De persoonlijke bescherming is voorzien van ballistische compartimenten die door Chongqing Jinguan New Technology Co. worden geproduceerd onder streng toezicht van Techcom Security Technology uit Hongkong. Ter bescherming van deze unieke persoonlijke bescherming is het intellectueel eigendom vastgelegd.

At K 2007, DuPont Performance Elastomers (DPE) will announce the launch of Viton® FreeFlow™ Z110 and Z210 process aids for polyolefins — two important additions to the company’s proprietary Z Technology™ products for plastics masterbatchers and producers of extruded sheet, films and other thin-walled structures — and will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the commercialization of Viton®, which led to the creation of the fluoroelastomers industry.
