VITON® FREEFLOW™ Z200食品包裝薄膜加工助劑通過歐洲食品包裝認可
杜邦高性能彈性體有限公司（DuPont Performance Elastomers）日前宣佈，其用於成品薄膜類食品包裝材料的Viton® FreeFlow™ Z200氟彈性體加工助劑已符合歐洲的食品包裝法規。該加工助劑採用聚己酸內酯（PCL）作為介面劑，它獲得了依據歐洲包裝和包裝廢棄物指令2002/72/EC所制定的“食品包裝材料法規相符性聲明”，適用于歐盟成員國以及挪威和瑞士等國家。

PPG to acquire Chinese manufacturer, distributor of architectural coatings
PITTSBURGH, May 15, 2006 – PPG Industries is expanding its presence in the Chinese architectural coatings market with today’s announcement that it has agreed to acquire certain assets of Shanghai Sunpool Building Material Co., Ltd., and its associated companies, including Shanghai IDI International Co., Ltd., and a group of businesses that manufacture and distribute coatings and building materials. Terms were not disclosed.

Borealis continues to invest in the future
Borealis today announced the financial results of the first quarter, reporting an operating profit of EUR 36 million. The result was adversely impacted by provisions related to the recently announced decision to close a 110,000 tonnes high density polyethylene unit in Norway, consistent with Borealis’ strategic direction and further improving overall competitiveness. The results were also affected by an additional insurance premium surcharge arising from heavy losses suffered by the insurance industry.

Henrik O. Madsen nieuwe CEO van DNV
Rotterdam, 12 mei 2006 - Henrik O. Madsen, die per 8 mei de nieuwe CEO van Det Norske Veritas (DNV) is, heeft wijzigingen in zowel Business Areas als het hoogste management aangekondigd. Zo zal vanaf 1 januari 2007 de nieuwe ICT Risk Management Business Area operationeel zijn. Ook heeft hij vijf nieuwe bestuursleden aangesteld. Tor E. Svensen, Chief Operating Officer (COO) van DNV Maritime, zal naast zijn huidige functie de taak van plaatsvervangend CEO op zich nemen.

GLS宣佈其在中國的新生產設施將在當地生產向全球供應的優質TPE
中國上海（2006年4月25日）－在高性能熱塑性彈性體（TPE）領域占世界領先地位的GLS公司今天宣佈，它將在中國蘇州市工業園區開設一家新的TPE生產廠。該新設施名為吉力士熱塑性合金（蘇州）有限公司，是大湖鑫立吉公司（Great Lakes Synergy Corporation）完全擁有的子公司，預定於2006年6月投產。GLS在Chinaplas 2006展覽會上宣佈了上述消息，并在此展覽會的W3G21展臺展出其品種日益增多的TPE材料。
