Mondi expands re/cycle MailerBAG capacity to support eCommerce customers with sustainable packaging solutions

27 May 2025 – Mondi, a global leader in sustainable packaging and paper, has expanded its re/cycle MailerBAG production capacity to serve the growing need for sustainable eCommerce packaging solutions. A newly installed production line at Mondi’s Krapkowice plant in Poland increases the output of MailerBAGs meeting the wide range of sizes and protection requirements demanded by eCommerce customers. This investment follows the previous expansion of the production line at Krapkowice, which was announced last year.

Alongside Mondi’s wide range of paper-based eCommerce products, which include corrugated and fill form seal solutions, the MailerBAG portfolio now features four distinct formats, making it one of the most comprehensive and versatile eCommerce packaging offerings available:

• Bottom Gusset Bag: Flexible and adaptable for different product shapes
• Side Gusset Bag: Perfect for small to medium-sized goods
• Block Bottom Bag: Designed for large and bulky items
• Protective Mailer: Ensures protection for products with cushioning

Recyclable in conventional paper waste streams across Europe, MailerBAGs provide a sustainable packaging solution that reduces waste and supports Mondi’s MAP2030 sustainability commitments and focus on circular packaging solutions.
