HONEYWELL NAMES BERNARD PELLEREAU AS PRESIDENT, EUROPE FOR SPECIALTY MATERIALS BUSINESS
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J., February 18, 2005 -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today that Bernard Pellereau has been appointed president, Europe for its Specialty Materials business, effective March 1, 2005.
Pellereau will be based in Brussels and report to Honeywell Specialty Materials President and CEO Nance Dicciani. He will be responsible for leading Specialty Materials’ overall operations and business development efforts in Europe, as well as India.
“Bernard offers the leadership and experience that will enable us to continue to expand and invest in Europe, a key business region,” said Dicciani. “Additionally, his tremendous knowledge of Europe’s market is essential as Honeywell continues to move from cyclical, volume-driven bulk commodities to businesses that focus on core growth platforms that are technology-based, have solid IP protection and address global, high-growth future markets.”
Pellereau brings more than 25 years of experience in the chemical industry to this new position. He joins Honeywell from Huntsman Petrochemical Corp., where he led the company’s European polyethylene business operations. Prior to this role, he spent 20 years with Dow Chemical, serving in numerous leadership positions in sales, marketing and technical services within the Dow’s European operation.
A French national, Pellereau earned a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Diplome d’Ingenieur de l’Institut National Superieur de Chimie Industrielle de Rouen and an MBA from the Universite de Paris Pantheon-Sorbonne. He speaks fluent German and English, in addition to his native French.
