DSM Functional Coatings B.V., ein Teil der Royal DSM N.V., und Berliner Glas KGaA, ein führender europäischer Lieferant von veredelten technischen Gläsern, geben die Lizenzvereinbarung zur Nutzung der Antireflexionsbeschichtung KhepriCoat™ bekannt. Berliner Glas wird zukünftig KhepriCoat™ einsetzen, um die Leistungsfähigkeit bei Lichtabdeckungen zu verbessern. Im zweiten Quartal 2010 wird mit der Produktion begonnen.

DSM Functional Coatings hat heute die weitere Optimierung seines KhepriCoat™-Systems für die Antireflexionsbeschichtung von Solarglas bekannt gegeben. Die angekündigten Verbesserungen leisteten bereits einen wichtigen Beitrag zu den multikristallinen Silizium-Solarpanelen, die vor kurzem von REC und dem ECN (Energy Research Center of the Netherlands) gefertigt wurden und als erste weltweit einen Wirkungsgrad von 17% erreichen.

DSM contributes to world record for most efficient solar module
Royal DSM N.V., the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands, announces today that its KhepriCoat™ anti-reflective coating system has contributed to achieving the highest energy conversion ever of a full-size solar module. The world record of 16.4%, achieved by the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN), was verified by global certification and testing organization TÜV. The previous record of 15.5% from 1998 was broken with an impressive 0.9% efficiency improvement, of which a significant part can be attributed to DSM’s coating.
